AWA SUMMER Camp

AWA (formerly "SYC") is short for "A Week Away." Our summer camp's main concern is getting students "a week away" from distractions and hindrances to focus on Jesus Christ. This 5 day camp is an evangelistic and discipleship outreach for students to plug into and get real with Jesus in their lives.

Camp Pastor - DR. JOSH BRADDY

Josh is a native of Picayune, MS. He graduated from the University of Southern Mississippi in 2005 with a degree in psychology, New Orleans Baptist Theological Seminary with his Masters of Divinity in 2009, and a Doctor of Ministry degree at New Orleans Baptist Theological Seminary in 2016.

He and his wife Katie have been married for 9 years and and have one son, Gideon Tamirat. Josh has a passion for helping people fall in love with Jesus Christ and helping them experience an abundant life in Him. He enjoys sports, the great outdoors, a hot cup of coffee, a cold Coke Zero, teaching the Word, and spending time with his family.

Worship - Zach Norman

Zach is a worship leader at Passion City Church in Atlanta, GA and is an instructor at Rooted Music Coaching. Zach's heart is to inspire people to have a passionate devotion to Jesus through a life of worship, and his songs are an expression of this. Danger Scene was born with a common goal. Make music, impact lives for good, and follow your dreams. 


“Music is what we love. It was never a question of whether or not to play music. This is the way God has given us to love on others and be the example we want others to see…so we started this project and with God’s help, we are going to take it to the top."


Danger Scene will be rocking our Late Night at AWA17!

Location - Laguna Christian Beach Retreat

Laguna Beach Christian Retreat is a resort located in Panama City Beach, Florida, for Christian groups and families. The facility is located on the sugar white sands of the Gulf of Mexico on the west end of the beach. This is a quiet, uncrowded area of the beach which helps to provide the proper spiritual climate for ministry.


Their goal in ministry is to promote an atmosphere of personal attention and Christian love and to serve Christian leadership in any way, so that young and old may mature in Christ.

So you want to go to AWA this year? That's great!
Lucky for you, there are TWO ways this year to register for camp at AWA.



1) Print and fill out REGISTRATION FORM HERE (CLICK LINK) and return it along with the $50 deposit to FBCK church offices before June 14th.


OR


2) CLICK LINK HERE and register online through the FBCK website.





Remember the deadline to register for AWA is June 14th! 

AWA17 cost $225 for each student (deposit included). 


The TOTAL COST for AWA is due June 21st


Contact Brian Adams for special pricing for three or more students or scholarships


Also a $50 deposit is REQUIRED to complete registration.
